Never Enough Water (Read 781 times)

I estimate that I'm drinking over a gallon of water per day and yet constantly find myself thirsty.
I sweat profusely when I run. I feel like after waking up thirsty, running in the morning and then drinking my morning coffee (and subsequent cups), I am in a thirst deficit all day that I can't seem to overcome. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

No, sorry. I have a 750ml water bottle, which I fill with water. Maybe I drink too much at once?

Sometimes when I am thirsty like that drinking something like extremely diluted juice helps. Something about the sweet taste seems to take away false thirst.

Thank you, I will.
Actually, funny you mention it. My father-in-law was equally alarmed by the amount of water I drank in a single day and took a reading of my blood sugar with one of those kits. He said my b-s level was fine. But it was at night, after I had eaten dinner a few hours beforehand.

I'm interested in this topic because I've had the same issue before and never figured out why. The juice and electrolytes help me but I wonder if it's normal to be drinking 10+ cups of water a day.
How much water are you drinking?
I found

about excessive thirst.

I'd say roughly a gallon.

Is your thirst a new thing?
I drink a lot of water, more than most people, but then I have always done it. Fatty or salty foods, sweeties, and specially caffeine makes me extra thirsty!
By all means have your sugar levels checked. It's better to know for sure.
