I didn't run Disney but I would love to read reports about the half, the full, and perhaps the Goofy? Anyone?

I'm sure people will pop in, and you probably know this anyhow, but marathonguide.com always has lots of reviews !

*gasp* you're telling me that there are other running sites besides RA?

There are a few race reports over in the Masters group http://runningahead.com/groups/MastRun/Forum Paul
You may also want to try www.disneyrunning.com. I did the Goofy Challenge and I loved it. It was the most fun marathon and 1/2 marathon I have run so far. I didn't care about my time since they were considered my training runs (time of my feet) for Umstead 100. Ran the 1/2 and spent the rest of the day at the parks. I had to run/walk the full since my left achilles tendon started to hurt and then spent the rest of the day at the parks walking around. I was pooped out after this weekend.

            Crash

I ran Disney this year, and had a blast. My wife and I both ran the Half on Saturday morning, and I ran the Full on Sunday as part of signing up for Goofy's Challenge. Both were incredible, but the Full was just electric. There were SO many people lining hte course when the route took us through the 4 Disney parks, I felt like Ryan Hall in NYC during the Trials in November! An awesome race, a great week, and I'll be doing it again. -Chris

                Big Chicken!

I did it! My report is on the "Look what I did" forum. And as someone else mentioned, www.disneyrunning.com has lots of RRs for the full, half and Goofy. Check them out! Great site if you're considering doing any Disney race (Minnie Marathon, Race for the Taste, etc).

Question for those of you who did the 1/2 this year, was most of the course one lane of the road and mostly the right hand side? I ran it last year, as did my husband, and we thought it was awful. Crowd didn't loosen up 'till almost Mi 12. It wasn't a race, it was a traffic jam. Lots of folks who apparently had no plans to run anywhere near their estimated time. As I was recovering from a right-hand size ITB flare up, it was particularly annoying to have to run slow, and on the right hand side of the crown a good portion of the race. PLEASE tell me things were improved this year.
