hmmm. I never do this...let's see...

handful of raw almonds
half a red bull

ran 8.5 miles

second half of red bull
half energy bar(bagelish nutty raisin filled health crap) with PB on it.

1/3 of a Kono's breakfast burrito...eggs, potatos, cheese, bacon, salsa, avacado
red bull #2

another 1/3 of that darn burrito(gave the last of it to one of my bottom dwellers)
water

1 miniature reeses cup.

dinner? I'm not hungry. I have an 18 miler tomorrow and a job interview at 12:30. I guess I should think of something that will get me through the day. Confused

maybe I'll have a burger.

Dinner:
Three large pancakes with scant butter, some honey and some jelly (~600 kcal)

Mmmm, breakfast for dinner! My favorite. But why scant butter? I mean, you talk the talk, like you're loading and all, then you fail to put chocolate chips and butter on your pancakes! Wink

Breakfast: 1/4 eggo waffle (I hate breakfast, I'm not hungry first thing in the morning and have to force myself to eat)

Ran 4 miles on a treadmill

Lunch: Leftover chicken pad-thai

Snack: 3 oreos & a few cashews

Dinner: Flank Steak marinated in beer (yummy), broccoli, rice and challah (I'm a good cook if I do say so myself)

Snack: small piece of ice cream cake & some jelly beans

Of course this list doesn't include the random pieces of food my 2 1/2 year stuffs in my mouth throughout the day, like bread he doesn't want and part of a cookie he was eating...

Long Branch Half Marathon (May 2009)

I did the chocolate chips for the kiddos and had some of their leftovers. But butter is not a great carb Wink

Hey, this is an interesting thread! I like to eat!!! Big grin

Yesterday:

Breakfast: Tea, orange juice, chocolate müsli

Lunch: Goulash with polenta, mixed salad (green salad, radicchio, tomatos, carrots, corn) with Italian dressing (aceto balsamico, olive oil, salt), bread, water, capuccino

Ran: ~14 km with 4 x 1000 m Intervals

Snack: yoghurt and some chocolate, water with lemon juice

Dinner: Pasta carbonara (ham, eggs, cheese), red wine, water

o.k., think I should cook now ... My kids will come home from school in some minutes. No training today - have to watch two basketball matches instead. My daughter ordered pasta with tomato sauce and salad for lunch. The trainer told them they should eat this before the game!!
... keep on running ... ... and ciao, ciao Regina

True, but butter can bind great carbs to it! Trent, you're not really carbo loading for a 20 are you? You just mean a couple hundred extra calories of carbs right, not a bunch? I've found as long as I eat enough for dinner and maybe throw in a 200-400 calorie carb dessert like poptarts, then have a big breakfast,I'm fine with only gatorade or even water for a good 20. Unless it's a morning 20, then I only have time for 400 cals before the run, I may need gatorade for sure over water, but no gu's or gels.. How many extra cals are you plowing down just for this run?

I continued to eat like crap all day yesterday, but then again, it was ovulation day, my one day a month I eat total crap. Today I'll be back on track, and I have a 20 this aft. After I take my girl scout troop on a tour of McDonald's! I'll tell you if they've really changed their oil to trans fat free....

Correct.

But then again I ended up running 21 miles, 15 or so at pace.

Incorrect. It is a great carb.

Hey, Nashvillians, coming to the WES wine tasting tonight? It is open to the community. 7:30 PM at Horseshoe Bend clubhouse. Look at my summary of today's intake to see how much I sampled Big grin

But, as I was told by the organizers, you can only go if you are part of a couple. After all, single people have very different things on their mind, namely finding a spouse. And when we are married, us singles will understand why married folks can't hang out with single folks. Isnt it nice that someone else knows what my number one goal in life is right now? And its a good thing they told me, because I certainly wasnt husband-hunting, but maybe I need to reconsider my goals for the month. Big grin

Abs is wrong. Stop looking for excuses. If you are concerned about a dearth of singles, bring some along...

Wait, I said you were invited if you were part of a couple. There is a difference to being married and going without your husband, and being single and having no husband. The former are invited, the latter are not.

I found it a really silly discussion. But as I said, it is good someone figured out my goals for me because now I know what I should be focused on even if I am not. Embarrassed

So you should go and meet other couples and drink wine. Of course, if you dont want to go, you could always go to the Nashville Chamber Orchestra concert with me tonight.
