Most everyone, except those lucky few, will find that Nikeplus is great but.... the battery doesn't last. Since Apple is such a "green" company they figured out that a disposable battery pod that lasts a couple months would be great so they can sell you a new $20 sensor.
I found the instructions online for replacing this. They look like an adventure but I thought it would be worth posting them here.
