Is whey the way to go? (Read 91 times)

    so I'm a hs track runner, usually competing in anything from the 800m and on up. Outdoor is here, which means many grueling workouts on the track. For post workout recovery, I usually eat a protien bar that's got protien, carbs and fiber. But recently I've gotten access to whey protien powder, and have read that whey can be very beneficial. I'm curious if anyone used whey and would back it up, or condemns it. I would drink it just mixed in water and then eat a chewy granola bar after for the carbs I'd still need.
