Just for anyone not already part of the
Michigander's group
give us a heads-up if you're doing any of the races (5k, 25k, or the new 10k). What's your bib # (I'm 1205)?
We're hoping to meet up for supper the night before the race and then to psych each other up the morning of. The more, the merrier!

12 days...and take note of the 7:50 start time for the 25k. Eryn and I just noticed today that the addition of the 10k has changed the traditional schedule.

Tammy and I are trying to think of a way to bring our bikes since I am not highly mobile at the moment, and don't really expect to be by then quite yet either.
Come on now... you really think I would be any kind of a cheer leader without an HTFU sign?!? I know I'm not the brightest crayon in the box, but give me SOME credit here. Sheez!

Why can't I find the post with the picture of the black crayon with "You" on the label?

Bwahahaha...does the crayon color read is "dim"? There are days I could use that...most days, in fact.
Rick, did has thought about taking his bike to get around some races. I'm not sure how useful it would be for 5/3, though. A lot of the bike path is blocked-off for the race course. Last year the dids drove to different parts of the race and that worked pretty well. Look at the course maps to plan some possible routes. If you can get near Johnson's Park that's a good spot to watch, as is the entire area around John Ball Zoo/Park.

Thanks, Zoomy. I'll scope out the course and use your info and we'll just hit a few spots along the way. Any mile markers in particular you'd like some extra Ooomph?

John Ball area is good--2 miles from the finish. That's when the wheels want to fall off (though that's about when I started to really pick people off last year, too).

It's like the demotivational posters on despair.com, I'm pretty sure it says "you're not the brightest crayon in the box" and it has YOU where it would normally be labelled BLACK.
I'm on a quest now...

I can't find it, either...but I know I've seen it. Man, Google Images isn't yielding anything...

Anyone else watching the weather, yet? So far I'm seeing
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 63.
from NOAA and Weather.com is saying about the same, with a 30% chance of precip, so about like last year's weather. PERFECT!!!
