I have bought and wornout 90+ pairs of the 1000-1100 series from asics ~ I think my 1st pair were 1050s and now maybe 1160s.
But almost every pair I currently am running in are having the same issue ! THe fabric between the laces to the toes get holes and eventually rip out. This is making every pair useless before the tread wears out.
I hope they fix it soon or I will be forced to take my 8-10 pairs a year elsewhere.
Long dead ... But my stench lingers !
I guess since I am bitching to all of you - I might as well send my bitch-mail directly to Asics and see what they respond.

Darn well take your concerns to Asics. You are a heck of a customer for them! I hope you receive a good response.
