Garmin 305 HR Sensor Battery (Read 522 times)

What are the signs that the HR sensor (chest strap) battery is dying? I had a few erratic readings (low) today, but wasn't totally sure if maybe some fabric from my running bra had gotten under the sensor. It did happen a couple of times, and never has before, though. I have had the 305 for almost 2 years. Thanks.

In my experience, a low battery would first result in some spikey readings, and then later I'd start getting consistently low readings. If you've had your 305 for almost 2 years, I'd say you're a good candidate for a HR strap battery replacement. I don't know how often you run or for how long, but I get closer to 9-12 months on mine.

Thanks. I replaced the battery last night. It was reading low, and the battery tested very low when I removed it and tested it.
