"Worst Album ever" is obviously too broad a category, so here it goes...what was the album you bought that turned out to be the biggest waste of money?
For me, Chicago X. It was the second album I ever bought, if memory serves, and it had but one "hit" single, "If You Leave Me Now" (which is enough to induce a diabetic coma) and not much else. I probably played it twice, then stopped buying music until the invention of iTunes a quarter century later. OK, that's an exaggeration, but it was not a good investment. |

I'll come back later after I've thought about my truly "worst" album, but I definitely remember The Album Where Chicago Died. "Pulling a Chicago". That's the place where a band ceases to be the kickass band it was and becomes an altogether different and very lame band.

Night Ranger.
Heard that song "Sister Christian" on the radio and went out and bought the album that afternoon. Listened to it twice that night, looking for another good cut, and never pulled it out again.
(Now I bet you all have that song playing in your head, right?  ) |

Quiet Riot Metal Health. A sure sign of album sucktasticness is when I didn't deem it worthy to upgrade to CD on. I only have this piece of dung on cassette, and there it will stay.
Another on the list of un-CD worthy was this cassette I had that contained not one, but two albums by Kansas, Leftoverture and Point of Know Return. This cassette contained the only songs made my Kansas woth listening to ("Point of Know Return", "Carry on Wayward Son", and "Dust in the Wind"), but the problem with cassettes (for the youth out there) is that, along with the crappy sound quality, you can't just jump to a track. You actually have to listen to the damn thing, or fart around fast forwarding.
Honorable mention to Deep Blue Something's Home. It's not really awful, but after hearing and loving "Breakfast at Tiffany's", the disappointment level with every other track on that disc was significant. Talk about a one-hit wonder (another thread, no doubt). |

You have no taste.
Okay, so I can only name the obvious two songs. But the rest could not have been bad enough to destroy those beauties. "Bang your head" is a classic, you cretin. The lyrics alone put it high on the awesome scale.

"Bang Your Head" and "Cum on Feel the Noize" are classics. The fact that I would cite this album despite the presence of those two songs only underscores just bad the rest of the album sucks. In fact, it was so bad that it makes me glad that Kevin DuBrow is dead.
And who can deny the greatness of "Love Will Keep Us Together" and "Muskrat Love"? Try to listen to either one and not smile. I double dog dare you. |

| You youngsters don't know anything about BAD. The worst album I bought was by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. The one song it had was named "Young Girl", I think. I'm too old to rememebr the details. I shot it with my 22 rifle when I was 14. |

I threw a New Kids on the Block casette into a bonfire. Can't remember if I bought it myself though. If so, it would certainly qualify as the worst album I ever bought. |

I'll concede that the dude isn't the greatest singer in the world  and that he's a bit overrated. However, he wrote "All Along the Watchtower." That alone cements his place in history right there.
That being said, the album Dylan and the Dead sucks out loud. Didn't actually buy it, but my roommate had it. I suffered enough. |
