Band on the Run - Paul McCartney.
It was the first album I ever bought. I played it and played it and TRIED so hard to like it but no dice - it sucked.
Surprising. Most consider this to be Macca's best solo album, although I think it's a bit overrated. Still with standouts like "Band On The Run", "Jet", "Let Me Roll It" (this tune was a jaw-dropper on his last tour) and "Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five", this is a very solid disc. "Wild Life", on the other hand (also mentioned above), is just plain embarrassing.

Ugh. Freshman year, the guy in the dorm room next to mine liked playing SOM at like 7am on weekends. The singer has low voice, which seemed to carry right through the walls. Not good.

I once bought something by Asia. I don't think it matters exactly which album.
God, I feel soooo much better now. I think I've been holding that inside for 25 years.

This one's pretty awful, but when I saw it I kind of had to buy it.

Wow Doug, it's good to have an ally...
Globule and Andahuff took exception to my comments about Asia in this thread

Blasphemy. Asia's
Asia
still rocks. Clearly, you wrote the above post in the heat of the moment. Only time will tell how wrong you are.
Those are Asia jokes. It's all I got.
In fact, I'm reasonably certain their first album was the very first cassette I ever bought.
Although I did record Rush's
Cygnus X-1
onto a cassette recorder from the radio once.

I was going to give a +1 indicating I further thought you would be the winner. But it almost seemed moot. I don't know how you can't be judged the winner. Words fail me... that is simply an impressive "worst" purchase.
