To taper or not to taper. Mileage is so low is there a need to taper. My thinking is to get my 20 miles in by Thursday and rest on Friday. I want to stay at 25 miles for the week. The course is up hill for last 2 miles. The finish is at top of a step hill. Just thinking out loud. Did a downhill 10k 51:24 @ 8:16. Going for 8:36 pace, since the course is shorter but harder. 37:24 for 7k. Just to be clear the 10k could not have been any faster .It snowed the 1.5 miles. Which might have helped.  |
