It's incredible to see endless lists of names of charities that can use help.
I went through google to see what other charities I can donate $ to.

I am interested to see what, if any, you guys donate $ or things to, or if anybody donated their car, or if anybody is a donor of anything, and so on, or if anybody donates $ regularly, for any cause.

I consistently give to my public radio stations, my college, and the ACLU. I've also given money to this org:

I can't wait until I have more money so I can give more away...

I donate my time to a group home for queer (lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual, intersex, and queer) youth, a friend and I go and make dinner there once a month.

I also donate to NARAL and an organization, The Network/La Red, that does anti domestic violence work in the queer community in the city where I live (and I suppose nationally too).

I don't make a lot of money, but certainly have an abundance of resources in comparison to many, many people in this world. I have some friends who have worked with organizations abroad and so sometimes through them I will support causes abroad, otherwise I have to admit being a bit cautious and preferring to support organizations whose work I can see.

Occasionally I support local arts organizations, the public radio station, people whose services I use, or who I appreciate being in the world, but I don't have to pay for in the usual sense.

dress for success

they support disadvantaged women trying to find a job by providing them with an interview suit - and then if they get a job with some additional work clothes. they also run groups for those women to talk about things like personal finance, childcare, corporate culture etc

I volunteer with Girls on the Run and with Planned Parenthood (community action stuff).
I give a little bit of dough to Planned Parenthood every year and sometimes to the ACLU, public radio, and the symphony.
And I donate blood regularly (but that's about the cookies).

Pick what you care about and stick wtih it local or global.

My fieldwork in Cuba was with a community project funded by international NGOs, I can't tell you how much they needed the money and support.

See my siggy - I'll be up to roughly $14000 raised and hundreds of hours volunteered (and that's not counting time out riding my bike). I seem to be a one-trick-pony in this case; I don't do much else, but I do a lot with this bunch. I get more back than I put in to it, far more.

My big charity is the "Hole in the Wall Camps" and in the fall I will run the NYC marathon to raise money for the camps. But I do donate to just about anything that has to do with either kids or cancer.
