I need a vacation from life. All of it. I want to go somewhere by myself, on the east coast, and just be able to sit on a beach or in the forest or something like that and do nothing. (except maybe take a run in the morning) and ZONE OUT. Any suggestions where to go?

Asheville, NC is a good place to visit...Do the Vanderbilt Mansion tour and visit the National Forests...lots of great trails and waterfalls! You can hotel/camp, see some beautiful country, see some history...Also some good eating places there... Just off the top of my head...shouldn't be all that far to drive.
