I have not, just like the name . It might be safer than other high altitude mountains due to likely more choppers available in case of emergency.
Finally moved solidly onto page 2. Staying pace with her but still quite a bit behind. Hoping to start closing the gap as of this week. Hey Denali - question for you: Have you climbed it? I'm considering it and wondered if you are/were?

Hey all, mind if I join? Like some others, I'm really trying to focus on consistency this year (not that I've been great about it so far...). Also currently doing a short streak for the same reason. And hoping the increased mileage helps me drop my HM PR a few minutes this year. Last year was 875.3 miles. 263.3 miles so far this year, so I have some work to do catching up with the pace bunny...
Welcome, ekat. I missed 1000 by less than 50 miles last year, so I know how you feel.

Just an update for what it's worth department. I had a chest cold this week and even had to take a day off work. I'd been making up ground on that wascally wabbit but I lost ground this week for the first time in awhile. So I'm about 10 miles further back than I expected but still have plenty of time to make up for the lost distance. Jeez though that wabbit is welentless!
Well keeping up with the wabbit is a challenge. To keep up the consistency, I had to keep my day-to-day time schedule in order, no more than 2 drinking night per week, try to go to sleep early etc.
I'm with you in the chest cold department. Lots of coughing and burning lungs made running this week a challenge for me (plus the fact that it just refuses to warm up, and I hate being cold). I'm 40 miles behind the rabbit, but I'm sure I'll catch up at some point.
I am trying to pull away from the wabbit!
Looks like one more run and we will have our first "graduate" of 2015.
I just checked the pace bunny, and I'm not too far behind. I took about 7 weeks off for Plantar Fasciitis. What a nightmare that was ( is ) LOL
I'm back, and feel like a new runner. Doing five miles this morning about killed me.

WohooO! Broke 800 Miles with today's long run. I took down the 1000km bunny and the 800 mile.
Now it's the 1000 mile bunny! I'm going to beat him!

15 miler today puts me 43.7 miles behind the pace bunny, which I think is the closest I've been. Slowly catching up.
June, July, August has not been a good stretch for me. To catch the rabbit by year end I have to average something like 27-28 MPW from now on. Hopefully that can happen.
Here is my plan to pull this off:
