Pace bunny in 29th place in a field of 100 (Read 616 times)

Gig

    I've seen a lot of discussion about people who have run too many miles to be in this group. For me, the only member whose stats matter (though I'm routing for all of you) is the Pace Bunny. I caught him (her?) today, but not for long. Tomorrow I intend to catch and pass the bunny, and not look back, and I encourage the rest of you to do the same. I like playing with spreadsheets, so until the group has sortable stats, I'll run my own analyses every once in a while. Currently, the pace bunny is in 29th place. I, for one, will push the bunny back a notch tomorrow, and I hope to see it close to last place very soon. The other thing my analysis revealed is that, besides the bunny, there are 99 of us. I look forward to meeting the one hundredth member. 1 GoPre 66.2 2 tcrum 60.6 3 alan f 57 4 SkBunny 56 5 westward13 54.3 6 Eddy 53.9 7 derek 51.7 8 mick_187 49.4 9 amcneice 48.7 10 RunB 46.6 11 sjwick 46.6 12 James 46.4 13 rockenmamof5 46 14 easytiger 43.6 15 zoom-zoom 42.9 16 funr runr 42.1 17 kooky2003 40.7 18 Chenille 39.8 19 hollansk 39 20 houseofdixon 38.9 21 tmporter 38.7 22 landy 38 23 Runat29 37.5 24 teclipse3 37.5 25 tuf_aint_enough 37.5 26 obrats 37.4 27 bas 36.9 28 Coach P 36.1 29 Pace Bunny 35.6 30 Daddyo 35.4 31 IronDave 35 32 runchicrun 34.8 33 salian 34.2 34 Al 34 35 kessler93 34 36 Jessitt 33.8 37 chloe36 33.6 38 ABCGreys 32.9 39 Gig 32.9 Smile 40 trekrider554 32.5 41 va123 30.7 42 gee281 30.5 43 getatub 30.2 44 tjrunner 30.1 45 runfro 30 46 twistedsteel 29.7 47 Crabby 29 48 kfbarry 29 49 kingstownemurphy 29 50 VTHokie99 29 51 runkaterun5 28.3 52 SurfNRun 28 53 asdg123 27.6 54 elpetay 27 55 Rod Sveistrup 27 56 downshiftbarbie 26.9 57 Scout7 26.8 58 vicentefrijole 26.4 59 PEKE98 25.6 60 Chicago 26.2 07 25.3 61 abbaroodle 24.5 62 thekmancom 24.5 63 TacoJoe007 24.2 64 Time2Run 24.1 65 lisak 23.9 66 stringsn88keys 23 67 gfischerj 22.2 68 RunningHammer 22 69 Fluffchub 21.9 70 Koruja 21.4 71 mayheminlondon 20.8 72 booyaa 19.9 73 Ozzey 18.7 74 St Joe Rob 18 75 gobrien 17.5 76 Hawk Runner 16.8 77 johnnypebs 15.9 78 runwasatch 15.7 79 JoeOs 15.1 80 mof 15.1 81 TWTIGER03 13 82 jillybean 11.5 83 tbarton 10.9 84 oogedy_boogedy 10.8 85 letchitsa1 10 86 jscogin 9.7 87 hammerbeck 6.5 88 catbet 6.2 89 TeeK 5.3 90 PurplePetal 5.2 91 amjac01 4.9 92 ThomasSoerensen 4.7 93 farandfast 4.5 94 jefleisc 4 95 Activegirl33 3.1 96 raed_12345 2.6 97 scrumhalfgirl 2.6 98 backroadrunner 1.5 99 sholtsman 0 100 sistinas 0

Go, Gig! I've been ahead of the bunny for a few days and I intend to stay there! I don't want to get too far ahead, but it's nice to have a few miles between myself and our cotton-tailed friend. Smile k

Hi Gig, pleased to meet you (right now, I'm #41). Thanks for the sorted list. I will pass the bunny today too! I suspect after a lot of people do their long runs this weekend, the bunny will drop way back in the pack. Smile

Gig, that's Excel-lent! Tomorrow I will race a half marathon, so that will take me farther ahead of the pace bunny (if all goes well, that is Wink ) bas

Yes, Team! Let's all have some nice long runs this weekend and get that bunny down there. Team goal of getting the bunny down to the median? I think we could get him down to 50th if we have some long runs in the next couple of weeks. Thanks, Gig. I'm 3 behind the bunny. But I"m running a longer one tomorrow. Not because of the bunny, but because I want to Wink

Thanks for the sorted list, Gig. I'm behind, behind. Someone trip that dang bunny. Ice storms and sickenss has slowed me down, but I hope to see that bunny in my sights and pull him back in! It's a LONG way to Dec. 31st! Big grin

79th place! Well I have been ill but back running again. I do not plan on catching the bunny for a couple more weeks, but catch and pass him I will. Thanks for the sorting>

Hey I'm more the tortoise than the bunny (65 I think) but I agree....wait until December bunny - we be wabbit hunting!!!

Here's an update. I did manage to put the bunny behind me, as did several of us. It's currently in 35th place. Not quite 50th like Runchicrun suggested, but for many of is it's a long weekend. (And also, it's January.) Go team!

That's great news that we had good runs on this long weekend. You're right, Gig, it is January. Wink Sometimes I forget being in California, *smack self*

Yeah, just wait until July and Aug. when you guys are sweatin' and us folks in cooler climes are running our butts off (though we get nasty humidity here...so Spring is what I'm really gearin' for)! Big grin k

Speaking of hotter climates... It gets pretty steamy down here in Kentucky, but I actually started running for the first time in my life in June. My first "long run" was July (8 miles), and I ran my first race on my 30th birthday. August 5th, 5k--34'30" My longest distance to date was the half-marathon in Memphis on Dec 2nd. 36'F at the time of finish. I've never been a fan of the heat, but after a long run, I miss the warmer temperatures when I'm crawling into three layers of sweatshirts and under a blanket.
Nice job Gig! I was just ahead of the bunny when you posted the list but have since fallen behind due to a back injury. Finally got back on the road again today after a week off. "HEY PACE BUNNY; I'M BACK." Shocked
