I guess I'll start it out since I'm the one that needs the kick in the pants!!!!

200 miles, 1 tempo or progressive long run a week, and my old friend hills

      200 miles

Survive the 50 miler on Oct 8

      One or two 5k races

Get back to doing speed workouts on the track

      *  Prepare for a 5k in November

The clock is ticking.  I REALLY want a new PR for the 5k before I turn 40 on November 21.  Undecided   I haven't been training for 5k's though.

Going to go ambitious on the miles this month:

            • Have fun (This should always go first)
            • 250 miles
            • At least two 13+ milers every week
            • back into speedwork (I think the calf is healed up now, and this may mean cutting into the miles a bit)
            • Lose 4 pounds (Maybe I'll have better luck with this if I'm more specific)
            • Gear up for an early November race (Either a 7miler or 5K)

            Just a dude.

              Simple for me:

              200 miles

              200 pounds

Getting back in shape... Just need it to be a skinnier shape...

I'm new over here, having passed the 1,000 mile mark and figured I could make 1500 this year.  Goals for this month are to run 40-45 mpw so around 160-170 miles for the month and get ready for a 5K I have signed up for on November 5th.  Hoping to get some good information on my fitness in preparation for training for a half some time in the late winter or early spring.

                Once a runner . . .

                  200+ miles

                  Consistency

                  Core work

Have fun getting ready for a half marathon on Nov 5

                  an amazing likeness

                    1. Marathon PR

                    2. Half marathon PR

                    3. Ease off to 150 - 160 miles

                    4. Heal the heel

Acceptable at a dance, invaluable in a shipwreck.

                                • I did have some fun this month running - DONE
                                • Nope, but I hit 218.9 - still my second highest month this year
                                • I ran 12 13+ milers this month
                                • Damn, no speedwork again.  Well, actually I got in one interval session at the beginning of the monht, and one tempo at the end
                                • Nope - stayed right where I was
                                • Well, no speedwork, so we'll see how I do this weekend.

All in all, I was pretty happy with what I got through this month.
