November Goals...end of season (Read 907 times)

...but no reason not to run.

    1. 1 x 31 mile cross country self-navigation event (training!)
    2. Keep to ~55 miles a week
    3. Keep the hill training happening for the BIG one in December

One more mile than October and survive The Monkey.

Okay, unclear on some of them, but here's a few

        • Have fun running!!!
        • 225 miles
        • PR in either the 5K (19:37) or 7 mile (59:24) - depends what race I do this weekend, I'm signed up for both.  7 mile PR should be easy - I set that seven years ago and I've run marathons at a faster pace than that now.
        • Do "Insanity" workout six days a week
        • Eat better

I have finally gotten serious about knocking some fat off. I don't have a particular schedule (i.e., weigh 160 by 11/30) but I will work consistently losing weight during November (and December if necessary). Goal is 160-165.

            • No mileage goals, I'm good - just stay consistent
            • Sub 2 Half Marathon (gulp - attempting this Saturday)
            • Survive Mini Quadzilla (4 half marathons in 4 days)

Good luck on the HM this weekend - where is this Quadzilla thing?  That sounds pretty cool - or are you just doing it on your own?

              Just a dude.

                My goals:

                250 miles

                190 pounds

Getting back in shape... Just need it to be a skinnier shape...

Thanks.  Re my sub 2: I go from feeling very confident to feeling very "end of days" - ish about it.

The Quadzilla is in Seattle.  I'm really looking forward to it, but it is also freaking me out a bit!  I'm sure I will walk most of day 2 (technical trail) and day 4 (hilly)...but it will definitely be epic!

                  I fly.

                    1.  160+ miles (would really like 200, but it's probably not going to happen); and

                    2.  To not die at the Monkey.

                    Bring it on.

Some lofty goals here this month!

                      1) 200 mile month for first time ever

                      2) 60 mile week for first time ever

                      3) drop from 221 to 214 lbs in time for Vegas marathon

                      4) Hit 1500 miles for the year (easy one)

                      5) Don't get injured!!!!!

                      2018 Goals

Figure out the achilles thing...... and THEN try to get running regularly again.

                      No racing goals

                        1. Some good hill work

                        2. 143 miles

                        3. To contribute in at least some small way toward world peace

Speed my steps along your path, according to your will.

My number one goal is to catch the pace bunny! I'm only about 10 miles behind so I think I can do it. Would like to run a decent 5K and hit 200 miles.

                          Once a runner . . .

I would like to run 180 miles at least.  But we will see what happens after my appointment with the Ortho doc for my knee on Nov. 10  Smile

+1.  No way will I be where I'd like to be, but the foot is getting better and better so I'm hoping it'll survive.

Half marathon this Sunday... no goal but to get miles and then throw on a few more miles to make it to 20 for the day.  "Run" the Turkey Trot 4 days after Monkey.  Ha.

I am hoping November will be more of a normal mileage month than the last two months have been.

Goodness, for a small little marathon with a registration that closed in, like, 18 seconds or something...amazing the number of RA peeps who are running it.   Confused

Acceptable at a dance, invaluable in a shipwreck.
