*scratches head* Hey, Dave, I just noticed you rocked a 25k yesterday. Ever think about coming down to MI to run the largest 25k in the US next May? Smile k

          Dude! Sweet.
Thanks for the cryptic compliment tuf! He is referring to my HM today. I was hoping for sub 1:40 but after a tough week of marathon training and nagging ITBS that was about as as low as I could go. I suppose running through that fatigue at that pace will pay off for the full in 3 weeks. Looking forward to more pain Smile

well, the winner was a half hour faster than me Smile It was an exciting event. We got to see the full marathoners set the record for fastest marathon ever run in Canada. And the women's winner set the course record for women. It was one of those event where you run side by side (opposite direction of course) to the leaders as they head back. Sh!t those dudes run smooth!

Bythe way tuf. nice 25K trail race. great pace for an off road race of that length!
                    Very nice! Congratulations! Smile

Sorry, didn't intend to be so cryptic. Awesome HM, Dave. Thanks Zoomie, et al. The 25k trail run was awesome. Trail running is a completely different animal to road running. It's freaking tough. Hats off to the hardcore trail runners on this site. My pace was almost a full minute slower per mile on the second loop, and I was working quite a bit harder than I normally would on the road. Did I mention there were sixty-two hills (31 hills in each of the two loops). That still freaks me out a bit... I finished in the top 15% overall. Nice tune-up for Columbus in <gulp!> 20 days... Full race report to follow, but you can read about it in my log. Who knows, maybe I will come down to MI sometime? A buddy keeps trying to get me to come down to Davenport, IA to run the Bix7. Depending on how Columbus goes I am thinking maybe Chicago in '08. BTW - the Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon/HM, is always the last Sun in Sept here in Toronto. Fabulous race and getting better every year. One to think about, folks...</gulp!>
