Okay, this is mainly practice so that I don’t forget how to do this.
Hokieesq, Buzz 63, and dtraitor are starting out strong.

Okay, here are the numbers while I work out my technical difficulties. I created a 2010 sheet and can see the data and chart, but when I try to publish it, it still shows the 2009 chart for some reason.

Thanks ER from me also.
I did not do well with the cycling last year and with the weather so far this year it could be awhile before I post any bicycling miles.

Thanks for your efforts putting this together.
My totals this year
2 rides
50 miles
3 flats
By my calculations I'm on pace for 60 flats in the 1000 miles. I think that will be a record. Is there a pace bunny for flats?
Buzz, just where exactly are you riding?
As for me, I have never had a flat - see, I knew it was a good idea to leave my bike on the trainer
I’ll try to make it prettier next week. I was trying to kept prior years sheets, but I may have to put 2010 (is that two-thousand-and-ten or twenty-ten to you?) data on the 2009 sheet if I can’t figure this out.
Chenille,
I have a nice 30 mile paved rails to trails course. I live right in the middle. I have a nice 15 mile section that doesn't get a lot of traffic and goes along a river. Or I go the other way through our small town and out just off the main road with plenty of people. I normaly go out along the river but decided to go the other way and got two flats in 16 miles. One on the front then one on the rear.
I have a set of rollers but can only crank out ten miles before I get too bored.
Buzz, I am so jealous that your run/bike trails are right outside your door - more than makes up for a few flats! How smart of you to get 2 of them out of the way on the same ride
As for boredom on the trainer, if at home, I usually put a movie on, at the gym, I'm pretty good at zoning out with my shuffle. Actually I prefer the music - keeps it interesting to change pace with each song.
I went with a set of rollers instead of a stationary trainer. I'm not as steady as I would like otherwise I would watch a movie. I'm just too busy not riding off the sides of the rollers. I would go for the trainer next time.
I'm the jealous one. I would love to have access to the trails you do. Both for running and hiking.
Nice to see we have a few more people chipping in.
We've had bad weather in the UK since Christmas but I went to Lanzarote and luckily missed the worst of it.
I wanted to hire some bikes over there but it was cheaper to hire a car rather than two bikes.
Because of this I haven't been on a bike this year which must be the longest break I have ever had but I have kept up with my running.
I'm dropping down to two days work a week from 1/2/2010 so I should have a lot more time which I need because my first qualifying duathlon is on 6/3/2010.
This afternoon I'm going on the turbo trainer as its pouring with rain outside and these days I prefer my creature comforts.
Good luck to you all this year.
Old age is when you move from illegal to prescribed drugs.
Jules - this is it! Happy part-time! Did you celebrate this week-end?
Hope the weather cooperates with your duathlon training.
Thanks for the best wishes Chenille, problem is I think we have your weather over here!
I'm saving my celebration for my birthday which is at the end of March
This month 85 miles running and 149 cycling.
I had a problem with my achilles so rested and saw a physio and on my long run on Saturday my hamstring kicked in. I haven't run today but it does not seem too bad at the moment.
But I have a 13 mile fell race on Sunday and its the first time I have represented the Tri club I have just joined so I might go back to the physio just to make sure.
How are you doing?
Our weather has been good - mid-20's - no snow for awhile.
Fell race for the Tri club....is this an initiation for new members
Fingers crossed that the achilles and hamstring straighten up this week.
As to how I am doing - it's been a rough couple of months - but I am determined to overcome this one way or another - so, I've decided my best course of action is to try to run a marathon this summer - I have only run one previously, and that was 2 years ago. The earliest half up here is not until May - I'm shooting for that to see how feasible the marathon goal will be.
Surprisingly, I've managed to maintain my weight training with just weekly sessions, but throwing in biking too might not be feasible just yet. Biking will be an integral part of my marathon training - I just need to adjust to more consistent running miles before adding in the bike.
Fingers crossed that the achilles and hamstring straighten up this week !
