Thanks ER, I've had a nightmare running month with a pulled thigh then a really bad cold / chest infection. The question now is can I hit 1000 miles after such a poor month? But on the plus side I won a MTB event because it involved navigation We had heavy rain and snow and got soaked and cold as we were out just under 6 hours which i think caused the cold.

        Thanks Eternal Rookie.

Finally getting some miles in on the bike, but running took a big hit in May. Hopefully, I can find balance between running and biking in June.

I've been MIA from the forum because I had a hip stress fracture. Started biking 6 weeks after being diagnosed and then a walk/jog program 4 weeks after that. Started "running" in May, but it’s slow going.

            Maybe this forum is cursed?

I too was affected by the curse this month. There's still plenty of year left though and I have no doubt I will complete my goals, there may even be a Fall Marathon on my list.

My bike miles are definitely not where I would like them to be. My first century is in 3 weeks and my longest ride has been only a 50 miler several weeks ago. I will be glad when my DH's 100 mile mountain bike race in 2 weeks is over. I miss having my regular road riding partner.

Getting the wind knocked out of you is the only way to

remind your lungs how much they like the taste of air.

I'll blame this forum for me severely stubbing my toe Saturday. Painful. Haven't run since but hope to soon.

BTW, here's the solution to my problem.

Just let it hang out. I'm even wearing these to work.
