Sat 10K, goal: keep up with DW for the 5K portion (10K does two loops). They're separating the starting times this year, so I gotta think of a new goal Sad

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

      Right on Hereford...

You're looking pretty good for this week's  so far, AP.

That's my goal every time I run.  Haven't been very successful with that approach.

When you're on your deathbed, you won't be wishing that you'd spent more time at the office.  But you will be wishing that you'd spent more time running.  Because if you had, you wouldn't be on your deathbed.

Haven't been very successful with that approach.

Hmmm. I think the only thing I've got going for me is my previous 50ks have had more elevation.

Dakota - thx, but anyway it was a surprise accomplishment of my 2010 goal (do a 50K), so I really hope I can just stay very fucking happy about it for a long time -- and not get seduced by the ultra guys and their insanity, and not start looking enviously at you sub-3 guys (no, I know that way lies pain beyond what I am capable of bearing). I just wanna rest on my laurels and be worthless. And read all the funny stuff. And post worthless shit. I mean, continue to do so. And learn to troll -- ahh, a 2010 goal -- gotta find that thread.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

I'm treating this as a training run on a notoriously muddy, sloppy course.  I have no idea what to expect time wise.  Maybe I should set a goal of picking my feet up when I run, so I don't spend half the race picking myself off the ground.
