      10-4 Peak Performance Maine Marathon, Portland, Maine, Goal # 1 to finish. Goal 2 would love to beat my Marathon PR of 5:45. However with my balky knee acting up and recently having torn my PCL what ever that is. Would just like to finish. Doug.

      "If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run."

        Ileneforward ......10k........... Beach City.............55 minutes.

        Running it as a team member for CdLS, since I'm in taper I might as well race.  Smile

          Possibly running the Smuttynose Half Marathon in Hampton, NH on Sunday Oct 4th.... I'm registered, but trashed my legs running / racing 15.7 miles on Saturday at the Lake Winnie Relay...Might be a last minute decision...No clue on a goal as this is my first HM... I'm guessing sub 1:30 ..who knows
            signed up for TC 10 Miler.  May be doing the TC Marathon under a pseudonym.  Should be a great running weekend in Mpls.
            And you know sometimes it gets so painful Just like talking to yourself When everything don't seem to have no rhyme or reason We all go Do do loo do do, do do loo do do Waiting for the sun to shine

            Hail to The Victors!

              Brooksie Way half marathon.  Going with 1:31.  Dammit.

                Woodbridge Road Race 5K, Woodbridge, CT - pace my 8 yo in his 2nd ever 5K, and hope he has fun for most of the race.  I'm thinking this one needs a 17 mile warmup, though (what do you think, AP?)
                  Stumpjump 50k, Chattanooga TN. Two goals: I hope they don't conflict. 1. Run my own race. 2. Win at all costs.

                    Northcoast 24 hour in Cleveland OH Oct 3-4

                    Low=120 miles

                    Medium=130

                    Swing for fence=140

                    Much lower goals than last time, but I am fat and giggly (217#), so these are realistic.

                      I find it a little humorous

                      I had signed up for Milwaukee Lakefront marathon before they made the Northcoast the usa 24 hour champ race, so I am signed up for both races

                      I am the same bib# for both races

                      Lucky Bib # 13

                      coincidence?

                      Lakefront, I was assigned #13, Northcoast I was just the 13th person to sign up.

                        Does being giggly really affect your racing that much?

                          Either 5K (goal 18:22) or 10K (goal 38:20); haven't decided. Latter would be a PR, but I'm much more familiar with 5K.

                          It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

                            Stumpjump 50k, Chattanooga TN. Two goals: I hope they don't conflict. 1. Run my own race. 2. Win at all costs.

                             you sore from last weekend's race?

                            mta: I don't care if the fact that it was "only a 5k" makes that a stupid question.

                              Does being giggly really affect your racing that much?

                               No but if you run giggly, it's not a real test of your fitness.

                              In it for the long run..

                                The Middle Half- Murfreesboro, TN-  Half-Marathon-    If I race this I would be looking for 1:57.  I may do it at MP because I really trashed myself this past weekend and I am not recovered and the more important race is my marathon on 10/10.  So-racing the half is stupid, which doesn't mean I won't do it.........
