I think a lot of the schwag has been toned down in the last few years. Bribery mumbo jumbo. Like the engineers really had that much pull.

Yeah, I was a twenty-something engineer / fab-monkey. It's not like loading me up with booze was gonna get anyone a big order. Not that I was complaining.

Sigh.

Yep.

Two people just e-mailed me to check out this stupidity. Which I never would have done, because normal heterosexual men don't read threads about skirts. So, obviously, right off the bat you're all pretty gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I stopped looking into this thread since most of the pictures early on seemed to be of a guy wearing them. Came back in a similar fashion. Wow.

I guess that I don't see most of the offensive crap that goes on since I rarely read the threads that balloon from 1 to 10 pages within a short span of time.

As for running skirts, I wouldn't wear one. I'm happy with normal shorts. I think that they look a little silly, but that doesn't stop me from admiring the ladies who wear them. I can't convince my wife to give them a try; she really thinks that they look dumb.

Howzabout this ?

I take issue with the fact that you depicted the shoulder pack instead of the way classier fanny pack Camelbak model that I use.

Big grin

Not likely, no.

If the temperature is over 28°-30°F then I'm probably running in shorts (although if I'm running in 5 foot deep snow in those temperatures then I'll be wearing tights) - colder than that and I will likely have some sort of warm up pants or tights on. Why go halfway (3/4 or whatever)?

I tend not to get cold, so I don't need pants in warmer temperatures. My wife, on the other hand, does wear capris when running, because sometimes it is too cold to run in shorts for her but warm enough that she doesn't need full length pants or tights. That, and they are stretchy and comfortable for her to run in.

If you're getting ticked off at something, maybe you need to go run or something else that lets that tension out. As a fat-ass computer programmer for most of my 12 year career, I know one thing: TYPING DOES NOT RELIEVE STRESS. It usually makes things worse: whether you're venting or just working.

Uh, yeah. Preaching to the choir with this one.

My husband is like that. He'll wear shorts until it's around 20 degrees. He says his legs rarely get cold. When it is too cold for shorts he refuses to wear tights of any kind, so he runs in sweatpants.

It rarely gets cold enough around Louisville to warrant more than shorts for me. I might layer compression shorts under, but I just don't like my legs being encumbered.

Being able to wear shorts in cold weather is the advantage of having hairy legs.

And I don't like running in sweat pants, especially in rain/snow since they can get water logged. I got over the wearing tights thing when I was trying to run 85-100 miles per week through my first winter in Rochester, NY.
