If I can figure out how to register for the danged thing.

you could go to their website...

"As a dreamer of dreams and a travelin' man I have chalked up many a mile. Read dozens of books about heroes and crooks, And I've learned much from both of their styles." ~ Jimmy Buffett

"I don't see much sense in that," said Rabbit. "No," said Pooh humbly, "there isn't. But there was going to be when I began it. It's just that something happened to it along the way."”

you could go to their website...

          Nope.  Tried that.

It was a f'in waste of time and effort.

"4" mile race. ran it in 20:38 last year, looking to go under 20 if possible.  say it's "4" because the course is probably short.

Also having the same issue as Trent...

How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?

(4 minutes slower than Trent?  Sheesh.)

                The tangents are moot.

Set the bar low. Crawl under it.

I think odds are this will be an epic fail, but time is running out for this racing season.  I'll be running the Irish American Road Race on Labor Day in Malden, MA and trying for 17:59.9.

It's an unknown course, but I'll be wearing my lucky Irish flag running shorts so I'll have that going for me.

If I fail, I have at least chosen a race hosted by an Irish American Club with Bud Light as a primary sponsor.  I might be able to drown my sorrows with a beverage or two.

May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your SPF30, may the rains fall soft upon your sweat-wicking hat, and until you hit the finish line may The Flying Spaghetti Monster hold you in the hollow of His Noodly Appendage.

Sunday 6th, John Fraser 10 mile, hilly course, not raced for a while, thinking of cycling there and back plus can't wear Swamp singlet as I have to wear club top, so 60 minutes plus four excuses makes 71 minutes.

Labor day 5K - 24:30,  starting slow shouldn't  be a problem this time with a big hill at start,, and a downhill finish down that same hill.

Uh... two fingers up, my friend.

Yes, I do "run in this."  So should you.  The weather is never as bad as it seems from behind your office or car window.
