          Run to the bar, Christmas Day -- ok, it's not timed, and I dunno if it really  has a name, but it is a run

           

          Nutcracker, day after Christmas -- this is traditionally a 5K but I don't understand what is going on with it this year

           

          Half-marathon, day after nutcracker - another informal one

           

          Got no goals for any of them though, so, maybe better not to list them. I'm confused. I'm bewildered. I'm bemuddled.

          It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

              Hmmm..

               

              Oh, that includes all the track events which were first time... Nothing like scoring a PR for 1mi and for 1600m and for 3000m and for 3200m and for 2mi, all for showing up at some track meets and doing all those for the first time.

               

              Oh, and a bunch of messed up distances - mostly overly short races.

               

              That's pretty funny.

              It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

                    Hurdling is a shortcut to getting injured. They told me to avoid shortcuts in running.

                      Run for the Ranch Marathon.  Springfield MO.  goal: try not to freeze, sub 3 completely bundled, Top 3OA.  (high of 30 that day)

                              Do the drive overnight as a redeye before the race, and surely we can count it as a duathlon Smile

                                One for the list.  Manatee River Run 5 Miler.  Tomorrow.  Palmetto FL. 

                                 

                                35:06 (gun time).  Fun to run something short for a change.
