"If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run."
Hilliard Lyons Health & Fitness Classic - 10K - Owensboro, KY - Mid-low 36's
Don't forget to stop by Moonlight BBQ after the race to get that good food fix.
Currently on the fence for Unite 2 Fight 5K in downtown Indy. If I do get to run, sub 20.

On Sunday I'm taking part in the Bradbury Scuffle 6 Mile Trail Race at Bradbury Mountain State Park in Pownal, Maine.
This is the second year for the race, which kicks off the 3 race series at Bradbury, and is the only race of the series that I ran last year (my wife ran the first 2.) This year, I plan on running all 3 and winning the Bradbury Bad Ass award by having the fastest cumulative time over the 3 courses (6, 9 and 12 miles.)
Since I won the Scuffle last year, that means that the course record is mine to break this year if I can repeat my win and run faster. Since I am not going to be racing a 5k on the roads the day before the race this year, then that means I should be better rested and I am in equivalent if not better shape this year.
My time last year was 40:58. This year I am going to follow a similar strategy, which is to go out fast and make it from the wide trails onto the single track before anybody else so that I can take advantage of how difficult (and dangerous) it is to pass anybody on some of those switchbacks. I should be able to run at least 2 minutes faster this year, I reckon.
Run to Win23 Marathons, 10 Ultras, 16 States (Full List)
Runners run.
Take the Lake 5k, Wakefield, Ma - sub 17. (gulp)
Go, mikeymike!
