Carmel Classic 10K - Sept 6, Carmel, IN. Goals: 33:15, drink all C-R's beer.
That's like a minute and a half faster than I ran my last 10K (March). This is my first of three planned September races, I will train through this one and use it as a workout before tapering (for the first time this year) for another the following week.
2013 goals: Kick some arse. Moreso than 2012.

The Logic of Long Distance
Sat, Sept 4 Pocatello Marathon Pocatello, Idaho Goal: 3:44 or slower
The big goal is to not get wrapped up in race day excitement. This is going to be a fun trip with friends with the main purpose of knocking off another state. I want to go faster than easy pace, but slower than race pace. Climbing Borah Peak the next day.
MTA: Also, do what I can to support the local craft brewery.

A race in my backyard, Labor day 5K, goal is to PR, need 24:18, should have it easy as it's been a year, set at this same race.

You better bring a big thirst. I have several mini kegs including Oberon, Newcastle and some new beer I've never heard of.
Oh and Carmel Classic 10k. Carmel IN 9/6 - Sub 40 and at least get to drink some of my beer.
Sep 5th Labor pains 12 hour
50 miles - 100k
it will either be a really good race or a really really bad one. Would like to end on a good note
Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much outrun your opponents as outlast and outsmart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head." - Joe Henderson

My wife gave you the biggest compliment while we were driving back from Chicago yesterday, she said you "really know how to drink". When I told her I was going to tell you she said that she clarified that she meant your excellent choice in beer, not how well you put it down.

Heh. In my youth it was quantity over quality. Now it's quality over quantity.
Oh hell who am I kidding, its quality and quantity. Just can't drink as much as I once could but it tastes so much better.
