I think you'll like it, Nads. I ran it in 2010 and it's definitely one I'd like to get back to someday.
Maybe this year?
Thanks, guys. It is gonna be Vermont City for me. The date works, it's relatively close, the course seems reasonable, and there's a buffer day (Memorial Day) between the race and work. tl;dr: What made it hard was that Rick and Jen put on great events and are friends of mine. But I'd mainly be running the loop with ultra folks who are pacing for 50k or 24, 48 or 72 hours. There's a good chance I'd be the only guy racing 1 x 26.2 at my particular pace in a throng of ultra runners. It may be my only shot at a BQ this year.

If you're taking your family up for the trip to Burlington, recommend you spring over to the Willard Street Inn web site and start calling them to get a room. You'll run right in front of the Inn at mile 2, then your family can casually finish breakfast before walk down the hill to catch you at mile 9.5 as you make the next loop of the clover leaf, then again at 15 -- all are right in a row as they walk down the finish area from the Inn.
Did an angel whisper in your ear and hold you close and take away your fear...In those long last moments
Nope. I'll be doing the Pineland Trail Running Festival 50 miler that same day.
I put it under there.
I have to ask around about this mudrunner character, because some of the people I run trails with would know him for sure. Maybe even I know him
Glen P.
Retiring at 3:10? Pity.
I had to go look him up: NCAC Championships: "Allegheny's Dan Princic was named the Distance Event Performer of the Meet after winning the 1500-, 5000- and 10,000-meter runs." Among other things (like a 14:40 indoors), that's some nice work right there.

Ran with him last night--he remembered your name.
Runners run.

I'm thinking about adding this one: http://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=19593
The Music City Trail Ultra. They have a 10K, a 25K and a 50K. I think I'll try the 25K. Here's the course description:
25k Course (15.5 miles) - This course will have around 2,700 feet in gain with an average slope of 6.5%. Same as the 50k but cut by half. Expect to have 50% trail, with 50% Jeep roads and one creek crossing
Should be easy, especially if I get to do 50% of it in a Jeep like it says.
The tangents are moot.
Set the bar low. Crawl under it.
No Talent Drips
Anyone here have any experience with the 7 Sisters trail race? I've never run a trail race before...but thinking about adding this one to the calendar.
You should go get the clap just so you can give it to her. --beef
No but it says "Twelve (12) very hilly, rocky miles. "
That was my first trail race. Hasher Rick's son, "You picked this as your first trail race?"
Not in Chicago
Heh.
You suck. You should just quit. Jackass. Welcome back.
Heh. Ummm, no. I'll be addressing that little matter next year at a certain little race that starts in Hopkinton. This year, however, is the year of the ultra.
Hoping to begin training again in the spring in time to hopefully not embarrass myself at a couple local yokel 5Ks in Woburn and Reading in July. Try to have a solid summer of training, lose 20 lbs, have a good fall racing season, then shoot for < 3:10 at Boston. Otherwise, haven't thought about it much.

Heh. Keep the faith, George.
Definitely. We had a good run last year. Let's keep it rolling.
I think he spells his name with double n and there is é in his last name ? Don't know him, but know who he is and will run with him in near future.
Slow and steady never wins anything.
