      Jul 20, sprint tri, try to break 20MPH for bike.

      Jul 21, club track night. Guess I might take a shot at 11:30 on the 3200 again.

      It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

        July 24, Run2Relay Marathon Carmel IN.

         

        Running this relay by myself. The RD actually laughed at me when I said I wnated to do this. Figures.

         

        Training run mostly so anything under 4 is ok with me in this heat but lets say 3:45 so I can at least try to keep my man card.

          I'd like to make a loftier goal, but my knee is still feeling last week's backpacking trip, so we'll just go with PR and hope it's not 90 degrees at the race this year.

          Passion is a rather frightening thing because if you have passion you don't know where it will take you.

           

          When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?

            I'd like to make a loftier goal, but my knee is still feeling last week's backpacking trip, so we'll just go with PR and hope it's not 90 degrees at the race this year.

             

            We will be there too with iced coffee to pimp our race. Unless you have a better idea since you've done the race.

              Awesome! Looking forward to meeting ya'll then. I think SRL will be there running the 50K.

               

              I don't have a better idea, really. I ran the first two, but I'm having trouble remembering much about what was there except the people I was there with (or met). Last year, I DNS'd due to a little pack a day habit that had reformed.

                    Goal: 9:10:00 


                    First 50-miler. Backup goal is to not die.

                      San Francisco Marathon, July 25th

                      Assuming my legs will begin functioning again, after hiking Mt. Fuji last Thu/Fri. Quads are still shot from the descent. 6,000 feet of steep, straight gravel, mostly running/sliding.

                                Clay Middle school (Carmel) has an open track meet tonight including a 5k. Never done this before so lets give it a shot. Sub 19.

                                 

                                MTA: Got it. 18:54 and my left hammy was screaming at me. No more speed work for me this week. Phelps in a race car these 5k things hurt worse than any marathon I've run. Thankfully the track is only a mile from the house.
