My race is cancelled due to the course being covered with shit from the hurricane.

No PR . So as promised:

This year, PW stands for a DrewEOB Personal Worst.

Yes, I do "run in this."  So should you.  The weather is never as bad as it seems from behind your office or car window.

50miler on Sat (Nov 17). Goal = finish. Flying in late the night before, so that should help make it exciting.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

Flew in from west coast, got to hotel at 0100, woke up before wake-up call at 0430. Had fun race. Pace PR to my surprise:

                      Year Distance Time Pace Falls
                       2010  52  11:55  13:45  3
                       2011  55  11:14  12:16  3?
                       2012  51  10:02  11:48  8!

*AND* huge PR in falls -- lost exact count, but believe I had 8 falls. And I did not make the rookie mistake of trying to get them all in at the end -- I had two in by the second aid station. Pace yourself appropriately - that's my motto.   And no blood and no injury (just bruising), which makes me happy.

Jordan Hasay hit the first mile at 5:14 yesterday, I think, and she didn't win. And she's a girl. So you probably need to go out substantially faster than that -- maybe come through just under 5 flat.
