The Logic of Long Distance
13/01 - Army XC League. 6mi ish. Goal - get round at tempo pace. Cancelled due to snow.
17/01 - Hampshire XC League. 5mi ish. Goal : top 5. top 3 - decided to step up to the plate.
Have placed 6th and 5th so far... need to break into the top 5 if I'm going to feature in the end of year league standings. Hopefully everyone else will have eaten too much turkey too.

Course smelled like manure about half the time, but otherwise it was a great little race.

Woodside Trail Run Marathon, 1/16 Goal: 3:45 - 4:00ish. Haven't seen the trail.
Ran 4:23, which was really a pretty solid effort... not sure what to think about this. Forgot the Garmin, and was pretty shocked to see the finish time. Thought I would pull it in under 4:00.
My first > 4-hour marathon. Also my first trail marathon, though I've run plenty of trail ultras. 3,800 ft. elevation gain & loss. Elevation and trails really add over an hour??? I would say I'm just getting out of shape, but I ran 3:09 at CIM a month ago.
