Spring Lake 5, 5 Miles, Spring Lake, NJ
Since my training is in the toilet indefinitely, no time goal. My son is running as well, so I will run with him.
Goal is to enjoy a run for the first time in about 6 weeks.

Good to see you back out there.

E.J.Greater Lowell Road RunnersCry havoc and let slip the dawgs of war!May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your SPF30, may the rains fall soft upon your sweat-wicking hat, and until you hit the finish line may The Flying Spaghetti Monster hold you in the hollow of His Noodly Appendage.
An excellent goal Tater, git it.
If my son was not running I would stay home, drink beer, and weed my garden. Just thinking about running pisses me off these days.
But thanks .... and you too spaniel.
Not in Chicago

"When I got too tired to run anymore I just pretended I wasnt tired and kept running anyway" - dd, age 7
Thrilled for you, man; too bad for me that I can't run this one with you; next time, hopefully.
gotta wait until next week for the memorial day races? I'll be running before the thread is started!
I fixed the thread title to include Memorial Day.
Thanks potato!
5/31 Up the Lazy River 10K West Linn, OR Goal 54:36
This is an actual racing goal. Not pulled out of thin air like the last 18 months.
I have done the pairing of hagg lake/UTLR 3 times and ALWAYS UTLR is just shy of 60 seconds slower. On the year I was eating up PR's on every race it was ~ 50 seconds slower. So a real challenge for me is to beat my recent Hagg lake time. On zero taper. I'm going to run med long on Saturday and still do my full weights workout this week. If anything I have done over the last 5 weeks has worked I should have a shot.
I hate this race, but I need to figure it out. I have 2 more years. They have a special award for the fastest 41 year old female. It is the masters championship 10K and the most competitive field in Portland once you are over 40. The fast people actually show up for this one. For some reason this course beats me up. It is about a 3 mile rolling to gradual down and then about 1 mile up and then 2 miles rolling to gradual down loop course. I have yet to pace the up in a way that I have anything left for the last 2 miles.
Hannibal Granite 5K Run for the "L" of it - Louisville, KY - I have no "F"ing idea
I really just don't want to embaress myself - My training has been for shit the last year and a half until this month. I've actually got a bit of a streak going now and I want to see where I am.

Thunder smash!
What the hell, it could be a disaster but I've gotta find out where I'm at post-plague. At least there's free beer at the finish so either way it will be a success.
Runners run.
