What's that, about 22 seconds per lap?
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
Uh no. About 37-38.
Runners run.
Any interest in the Hartshorne Mile? - on the Cornell track in mid January. It's a pretty cool event.

The Logic of Long Distance
That sounds really cool but it's a really long drive.
It is. We've made the trip a couple of times from northern Virginia - driving time is much the same. Quite a few folks go out to dinner on the Friday night. The races are late on Saturday morning. With all the competitors for the various races and a college invitational meet starting straight after the atmosphere in Barton Hall is great.
So does this mean I get your cool points? Cause you have a lot after that nice mile.
Sure, take 'em. I can make more.
Wow. Suweet!
Here is my next big running goal. Interim running goals - sub 19:00 5K, sub 40:00 10K. Pie in the sky running goal - sub 5:00 mile (yeah right!! if I lose 20 lbs and 20 yrs in a time machine maybe...)
Holy smokes. Way to go get it.

Training through a 5K on Sunday. Sub-18:36 to at least improve over last Sunday.
40:37
I'm sure that has to make me eligible for some type of award
4mi option instead of 5K
That was definitely race report worthy. The write up.
Not in Chicago
If my throat hadn't been so sore I might have yelled out the window at people on the street, "Hey, I just ran a sub-five-minute mile, what did YOU do this morning??"
You suck. You should just quit. Jackass. Welcome back.
