Hey, just thought I'd start a thread here.  Since I got carried away and responded to a thread in the GSP.  If any of ya'll idiots have any shoe questions feel free to put them here.  I don't claim to have all of the answers, but I should be able to field a few questions about brands, models, etc.

I commented on the Mizuno thread that Spaniel posted on about the Wave Elixers being his favorite shoe and enjoyed breaking the news that the Elixer is going bye bye.

So....feel free.  I do get to see/hear about shoes, and test them out quite a bit before they come out.

I have a question: can you send me some free shoes?

You're a 9.5 right?

Oh, and brands I carry ... and would know a little more about are as follows:

Brooks, Asics, Saucony, Nike, New Balance, Mizuno, Adidas, and Montrail.  Those are in my wheelhouse and I can answer most logical questions about those...or easily find out answers.

Lightly used okay?

Yea yea, I've got a pair of Mizuno Wave Ronin that are a 9.5.  I've put like 30 miles on them.  I love them...but they are just a touch too small for me.  Might be able to send those Mikey way.

 Although...I'm actually fairly well stocked up on shoes at the moment.   Best to send them to a good home.

Funny thing about this, you see even the slightest mention of free shoes and you get excited, but I have way to many shoes in my closet right now.  Give me a few months to put a couple hundred more miles on the pairs I have in the closet now before adding to the pile.

Any hint the Brooks Cascadia going away?  I'd buy 4-5 pairs if they were.  I think I have gone through 2-3 of the 5, 6 and 7s.  I only have one pair of the 8s right now in the closet.

I'll take a shot at this one since I just wear tested the next version.  No.  The new version will be out Real Soon Now.

Brooks did axe Green Silence though, which bummed me out.
