Might run 800 as well if my legs aren't broken and my heart is still beating after above 400.

I ran 18:22 here in 2008. Surely no speedwork and ultra training is a recipe for a PR. I'll be lucky to be under 20:00.

Frontier Days 5K, Arlington Heights, IL July 3rd. This is my first race since Jan. 1st due to injury and general foolishness. But I'm running it with my slower brother, so the first two miles will probably be 10 min miles, then I will leave him and see how fast I can run the last 1.1. So I'll say 27:30, making this a PR (slowest 5K.)
The tangents are moot.
Set the bar low. Crawl under it.
slow start, fast finish, but that is a perennial problem of mine
happy days
Bonus highlight: a guy brought a couple discuses & shotputs (4# & 6#), and showed us how to use them, afterward. Fun times. Especially when someone threw a discus into the woods, then had to go retrieve it.
5:10.91 slow start, fast finish, but that is a perennial problem of mine
That doesn't really seem like a 'problem' considering you blew away your goal time

Run with someone who paced be to a HM PR.Not smart. Needed a 7:45 pace. Mile 2--7:02 Mile 3--6:58. He died at 3.5 mile mark. I just tried to hold on.
Run until the trail runs out.
