      Went to bed pretty sure the Nats were on their way to the NLCS but woke to find that that didn't happen. Bummer.

              Great article. Inexcusable. Shut him down in mid-season. Limit him to 5 innings per start. There were ways to protect him and have him in the playoffs.

                    I actually saw the end of the game. I was so rooting for Verlander to finish, and he almost did. He was brilliant.

                            Heheh.

                             

                            So Ozzie Guillen got canned. I gotta say, back in the day, I never knew he was such a colorful fellow. He was always "the other shortstop named Ozzie."  You'd open up your Topps pack, get an Ozzie Guillen and go "WTF am I going to do with this?"

                             

                            As an adult, I am absolutely gaga for him and his use of Arab-American catch phrases, such as "I am not a dumb."
