Will be on a time crunch with the carpool, so I guess the goal is to run at least a marathon preferably 50k before my ride wants to take off, and I don't think anybody I'm driving with plans on going over 15(ish) miles. Will just have to run fast enough to get an extra loop or two in before the stop so I'll have time to finish while they're pigging out on the various foods available and socializing afterwards.

5K cross-country course. If I get to race it, I'll try to run with my peers and not go down.
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
2:45-2:49??? You must be on crack. I'm asking myself if I'll run a 3:05 or a 3:20. I'm a total basketcase right now.
Relax, it's only a marathon. If you can run a 50 miler, holding a steady pace for 26.2 will be a breeze.
