Weegee

You're on to me ilene!  (Actually I'll be lucky to hit 7 hours; the RDs courses are notoriously tough, although this is one of his "easier" races).

Put me down for sandbagging Deception Pass 50K too, please.  I'm just looking to get under 6 hours, and will use my recovering ankle to justify the sandbuggery.  If that doesn't work, I'll make sure to get lost like I did last year.

      ik,r?

Sub 3:05, need to get the BQ monkey off my back. Hope those other monkeys from a month ago are also off my back.

        KILL IT BASH!

         THIS!

Is it too late to change my username to drunkass?

You could always put it in the "self-anointed title" box underneath the avatar.

How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?

I need to get back to having a faster marathon PR than you.

              Get on it

Depends how fast you run at Tuscon. You realize you should be able to run sub 2:55, right?

Heh is right, Mikey said the same thing on sunday

Dude just crush Tucson already so we can start talking about what you're really capable of once the BQ and sub-3 monkeys are off your back.

We had this discussion with Jeff earlier this year. I recall he had even more confidence. Fortunately the clock isn't running down on the window to crush it anytime soon.

Bash says he is going to pace for a 1:31 half and then play it by ear. I'm pacing slightly negative for 2:58. I expect he'll come flying by me around 20. If I haven't fallen apart sooner, which is entirely possible. 5-week taper and an iffy hamstring is not ideal.

Sounds like I still have some work to do. I thought I had him seeing straight by the end of our cooldown jog on sunday.

I tried to convince him to go through in 1:28, but he was having no part of it. Guess that's what happens when you start the alcohol taper prior to the actual taper
