    Bash, I thought of you last night (awkward) on my run and got excited (AWKWARD), and clicked off my last two at 7:00 pace.

      Not awkward

        I tried to convince him to go through in 1:28, but he was having no part of it. Guess that's what happens when you start the alcohol taper prior to the actual taper

         

        See, I actually think his plan is very smart. He has yet to run a BQ. 3:05 is the magic number. All indications are he can go much faster, but a 1:31 half still positions him well for ~2:58 if it actually turns out to be conservative. If not he can hopefully still hit that 3:05.

                      54K Trail Race, 12/8, Isle Du Bois, Texas, Goal 4:30 +/- 30 min, 1st place and course record are reasonable goals, so why not, everyone who's fast in DFW is running dallas marathon the next day.

                        Haha, 54K Trail Race, 12/8, Isle Du Bois, Texas, Goal: beat greaso84. Just kidding, this is uncharted territory for me so I have no particular goal other than don't get too banged up. 

                          Roxbury Marathon, 12/8/12, Roxbury, CT, all hills - running it for the chocolate & beer offered somewhere in one of the 5-mile loops, goal:  don't throw up (on myself).

                           

                          2013 Goals:  >2,000 miles, 50-miler and 2 marathons

                              I'm racing a 3.5 mile XC race on my town's hilly golf course. It will be a roller coaster with steep pitches. Can someone help me come up with a meaningful goal? I'll wear my watch to collect data but it will be otherwise completely useless.

                               

                              I've got no idea what to do other than race people.

                                IMO, XC is pure racing, time is not the primary factor, place is. Doesn't help with you goal but it's all I got
