1st place in 4:37:03, but only by 90 seconds, had 5 minute lead at 22 mile mark, but he reeled me in and was about a minute behind with 4 miles to go, but I was able to open another 30 seconds before finish only because i saw him, had the two of us been left to finish without knowing where the other was at, he would have beaten me. ... i took at least a minute longer than the other top finishers at each bag drop, i'm an idiot.

Excellent job, even if you're inept at trail logistics.
will have to report back on whether i lapped Ghostwood, i tried to closely inspect every pair of female legs i passed, but was tough to match them to her avatar.
Good to see you willing go the extra mile like this.
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
I usually get around 18 in about 4 hrs, if that helps. Add another hour for the 19th. It took me a while to get this. Speaking of the 19th... There was no t-shirt. Instead, they handed runners a full glass of beer with the race logo on it.

I originally thought it was a reference to someone's post-race drinking goal... but I finally got it.
Weegee
Way to go, Betsy! Poor Weegee.

Yeah, I appear to have stepped on kryptonite, but I'm not too horribly hobbled. I knew my ankle was sketchy at the start, and at least it waited until mile 12 to roll over again, resulting in a great ride on the fight or flight adrenaline rush and a humbling limp back to the start/finish. I think it'll be better in another couple of weeks.
Meanwhile I'll wear the title of First Loser / DNF for the Deception Pass 50K.
Congrats to all who had better runs, which is… Let's see… All of you! :-)

"Way to make Borat look overdressed"
Runners run.
The Tucson boys are 75 minutes into the race. It's 46 degrees with a dew point of 29 and very little wind. And they're running a long, gradual downhill.
sounds perfect! really wish they had runner tracking
MTA: I found runner tracking...the boys did very well this morning
Yeah all 3 made their goals--that's a good day. Looking forward to the reports!
Ran 2:58:38 -- a 3-second PR. Garmin said 2:58:44, so I thought I missed it. Damn, that was hard. Gave up on 2:58 at 20 and just tried to hang on for sub-3. Hung out with Bash and Sully afterwards. They did great.
MTA 4/89 AG.
Okay the stupid website keeps saying "Forbidden"
I wanna knoooow!
How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?
break'n three
Hey, I'm the guy that ran 40:00.00 on my first attempt at sub-40. But no, I decided a PR was out and it would take all I had to go sub-3. Glad I was wrong.
I'm just glad your hamstring didn't 'splode. Great job, especially considering the (very smart) last-minute switch from CIM.
