Looks like all the consistent higher mileage is paying off with some nice race times
did you pick 52 weeks as an experiment in higher mileage?
My mileage is likely to drop this summer as summertime fun competes with mileage

sorta; i just happened to hit it a few weeks in a row last summer and as the school year approached i figured i'd reduce it (i'm a teacher), but i just kept hitting it so I decided to keep going until the winter because I figured it would be too tough when it got cold, but i kept hitting it so around 25 weeks into it i decided to hold out for a year and turn it into an experiment. I will drop with some june activities and hopefully can get back at it in july.
but like you noted; i have been happy with the results - last year at this time i was an 18:15 5k runner.
