So, I think I got the NO end covered (crawfish dish, most likely,) but what is Indiana associated with food-wise? I came across a recipe for sugar cream pie.

Yeah, although I need to put it on its own web space.  Currently, it doesn't scale properly unless you go to http://treadmillr.bqx40.com/

I was actually building it out because I didn't like having to Google for a pace calculator every time I was trying to figure out the conversion for anything other than an even-numbered mph.

1 bag puffed corn puffs (brand here is Mike Sell's)
2 sticks butter
1C brown sugar
1/2C corn syrup
1 tsp baking soda

Put butter, brown sugar, corn syrup in pot on medium-high heat, bring to boil while stirring constantly.
Continue for 2min stirring at full boil.
Remove from heat, add baking soda and mix in.
Pour sauce over corn puffs in a roast pan and toss until well-covered.
Bake at 250deg for 45min, stirring every 15min.
Immediately spread on a couple of large sheets of wax paper so they won't stick together.



The wife's secret recipe.  I gave small bags out at work for Christmas  on a Friday and the next Monday I was bombarded with requests for the recipe.

I've only been a Hoosier for 3 years, so I'm not the expert and will defer to C-R.  But since he suggested corn I figured this was appropriate.

Here in Indy, shrimp cocktail with ridiculously hot horseradish sauce is the famous dish.

Good recipe Spaniel. I spent most of my years here in SW IN where fried food rules. So deep fried snickers bars were a hit. Brain sandwiches were also staples. Popcorn balls were big. Deep fried turkey with Italian dressing injected under the skin worked well. As you can see a healthy bill of fare.
