LNO. Sort of. That thread brings up a third SpamWOL group, btw, which hasn't arrived because they are poorly organized. R&R. Rants and Raves. Yeah.
Incidentally, BooF went and renamed themselves after much thinking. They are no longer BooF. Now they are B&B. Yeah.

In my brief perusal, I'd say they're swampier than the Swamp.

We're all "real" people. Most of us have been around for years and have met many other L&Oers IRL. Eventually, we'll get around to using the runnnig log, etc. It's just a culture change for us. RWOL had a terrible log, RWOL had terrible everything so we really just met there to BS. A lot of us do keep up with other forumites training on Dailymile. We have our fair share of decent runners and many have surpassed the 2000 mark for this year. One thing I like a lot about this site compared to our former home is the focus on running. I know that sounds odd since we come from RUNNERS WORLD, but RWOL is just a front for a huge marketing conglomerate. The point of that site is to sell you shit. RA feels much like a "for runners by runners site."

mikeymike, I've met more BooFers in real life; only a couple LNOers. But I know a shit-ton of folks from the old coolrunning clubhouse. Anyway, there's no "this" or "that". Some are just like they seem online. Some are different. Some are intentionally playing personas... either the opposite of how they are in real life or amping up aspects of the way they are.... and others aren't. Pretty cross-sectional. Kinda like here.
My bet is that there are MORE people playing personas in LNO than BooF, but it isn't everyone. Just a bet.
Also, BooF is way touchy-feely with each other. Lots of posts with hearts and hugs and mooning over each other at a level way different than RA.
One thing that is/was big in SpamWOL: trolls and puppets. Shit gets fuzzy there.
BTW, I guarantee you that the swamp and BooF have a ton of people lurking. LNO doesn't because they set it up differently.

If you go to your history page, and highlight all your runs, then copy, you can paste them into Excel and then save as a CSV file. From there eric can help you bulk import that data. You'll only get the fields shown on your history screen, but it's better than re-entering them all by hand, or losing the info completely.

Oh no doubt we have many many lurkers. But if you want to lurk on LNO all you do is hit the join button, read through the forums then hit "leave" on your way out so they probably have only slightly fewer than we do. The thing is you need lurkers.
