If you sort by distance all the swampers and RA originals float to the top. This is LNO's leaderboard--reads like a who's who of the swamp:

In my brief perusal, I'd say they're swampier than the Swamp.

I'm guessing that's because, as you pointed out before, many of them are here more for the forums and are not using the log (or don't have it opened for public or usergroup viewing). Handy way to easily see who's there from here.

Or they could just be like me and figure there's no point in making the log public unless there are actual runs recorded in it.
I think the default for new user account is that the running log is private, and no one has bothered to tell the newbies to whip out their logs yet.
When you're on your deathbed, you won't be wishing that you'd spent more time at the office. But you will be wishing that you'd spent more time running. Because if you had, you wouldn't be on your deathbed.
But in reports, people are still sorted in order of miles even if their log is private.
Runners run.

A lot of the newbies have started logs. And have been told (in BooF, not so much in LNO) that public logs are the shit.
But they haven't because they are one part embarrassed, two parts concerned about "privacy", and a pinch of "I've never done that before with my info and I don't like change."
And once again Mr. Wizard (aka: Stevie Ray) explains the internet.
Well. And there's that. So not as many new logs yet. Ok then.

Why the heck is my log private on there? I swear I have it so members of my groups can see it.

Au contraire. Not only have I made mine public, I figured out how to import all my runs for 2012. (Yay me; can I have a cookie?)
Upcoming races: 5/18 Watershed Preserve 12-hour, 6/2 North Olympic Discovery Marathon, 6/15 Bighorn 50, 7/27 White River 50, 8/24 Cascade Crest <gulp>

Because I pulled that report and I'm not a member of LNO. I can see your log in here and in our reports views.
If you change the display from current week to current year, it becomes even more swamp heavy:
