But you raced hard after the 11.5. Could that have been part if it?
Absolutely. I definitely think that played into it. I should have eased up but got caught up in the race and went all out.
MTA: I may still do Baystate and train through. That would replace a MP run scheduled for the week earlier. Then the following weekend, run the Great Osprey 10K in Freeport, ME and stick to a 17 miler the next day with no pace work. Lance, you in?
Not in Chicago
I'm in for Baystate half, mainly to pace Greg C for half of his marathon attempt. Unfortunately for me, my pacing gig will require me to run pretty close to a PR, so yeah, I'm in for that. The next weekend, and this isn't ideal for Philly, I will be joining a few friends in helping another friend as pacers on her 100.
You suck. You should just quit. Jackass. Welcome back.
"run" "to" "eat"
that's a lot of giving of yourself, mr train.

If you're pacing Greg C for half of the Baystate Marathon, then you won't be running the Baystate half. The courses diverge just before the 3 mile markers.
Runners run.
Holy hell, seriously? I thought it was the same til the bridge at 12.9ish when the marathoners cut off. Now what the hell.
Does Baystate fill anymore (I'm thinking not)? If not, is there any issue with me signing up for the marathon and DNFing at 13.1? It's not like I'm taking someone's spot or running Boston without a number or anything ludicrous like that.
As long as you're discussing Baystate, might as well mention - I'll be there making my marathon re-debut...looking forward to meeting some of you...
But Och! I backward cast my e'e, On prospects drear! An' forward, tho' I canna see, I guess an' fear!
Just run the marathon. It will be good practice.
Are you in for the Great Osprey 10k on November 3rd?
Hmm. I'll check it out.
Nice...10K. I usually leave this one to near race day decision based on weather...the dirt roads can be a mess in the gales of November.
I'll buy you a beer at Gritty's if you're actually up here to run this...
Did an angel whisper in your ear and hold you close and take away your fear...In those long last moments

Good to know.
Well fuck a duck. I did not know that. I also thought they were the same for a lot longer. Damn. Ah well, I'll kick in the extra $20, I need all the help I can get.
I put it under there.
what ARE you worried about?
He is worried about the obvious: What if he doesn't lay it on the line and go the distance with Greg C, have it out with him, once and for all. Will he always run in his shadow? Will he ever know?
Do you think he wants to show up at Baystate, just told hold Greg C's bags, yet again. Why do you think Greg C's avatar is a rabbit? He is mocking him in a deep and profound way, keeping him "in his place."
I see you are trying to prod him, and frankly it makes me sick, too. But we need to let him decide for himself. Let him own it.
