AP is not the MVP of the Swamp (Read 478 times)

DJJan

I'm sad nobody got my play off of AP as in Adrian Peterson who is soon to be the MVP of the league.  As long as it is not a Manning I will be happy.  So sorry to see both the Jets and Giants sitting at home watching the football games.  I've never seen anything as messed up as those Jets.  They really do make the Bengals management look fantastic compared to that zoo.

i think it will be Manning. Sorry, I am not sad to see Eli and sexy Rexy sitting home.

Good times never seemed so good.

Peyton as comeback, but hardly MVP. Several QBs have better stats.

I thought Sexy Rexy was the Redskins third string QB (aka Sex Cannon aka Rex Grossman). I didn't know Tweedledum was also Sexy Rexy.

        The process is the goal.

Yeah but take Manning off the Broncos and you might have an 8 win team.  Maybe.

Take AP off the Vikings and they are 1-15.  (not really, but man, they don't have much O)

And once again Mr. Wizard (aka: Stevie Ray) explains the internet.

Absolutely, agreed, and that's why he's MVP.  I just don't think the "better stats" case is the determining factor for MVP.  It should be more like a WAR calculation.

Take Aaron Rodgers off the Packers, take Brady off the Patriots, etc.

And 6th rounder rookie Alfred Morris has more rushing TDs than AP. And he drives  a 1991 Mazda 626 with more than 125,000 miles on it.

Pats went 11-5 with Matt Cassel.

The current backup QB for the Seahawks threw for about a kazillion yards when Rodgers was out last year.

But the Broncos didn't have a QB last year and still went 8-8.

This thread is teaching me how much I miss on a daily basis.  I didn't even know what a shield-bearing fucktard was until last week.

There was a point in my life when I ran. Now, I just run.

Back beat, the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt

The reason Tebow had to leave was because Elway wanted to be known as the best QB on the Broncos. But now Manning is gonna do better than him, and Elway is gonna wish he had gotten rid of him sooner. It doesn't make sense to me, I mean, more money for Elway the better they do, but he got some serious pride. Elway didn't want to play Tebow before, either, because he was worried. Tebow wasn't the best quarterback yet, but he has serious potential, and they didn't like to play him when we had Orton either, even though Orton moved slower than my great-grandma. Tebow won the Heisman in college, and not for sucking, let me tell you. He is not a bad quarterback. He just needs experience, which he is not really getting by warming the bench.

But I don't think Elway likes Manning very much, since he could break all of Elway's records that he set on the Broncos. just saying, he has a big jealousy problem.

Well, however we slice it, the process involves people with various agendas, etc.  It'll come down to Peyton vs AP because they both have great stats, play on playoff teams, and are both "feel good" amazing stories of recovery.  One will be MVP, one will be comeback.  When is the selection process?  Even though it is supposed to be based on regular season, if any playoff games occur before, the people in the process will factor in those performances.

Same with rookie of the year... Luck or RG3?

                            L Train is Tebow's Mom?

Tweedledum is better. I hope someone else wins it, I agree that there are better choices. He is a media darling or something.
