Dude. Chill out. It will all be over soon enough.

I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.

Even R2E? I thought R2E was androgynous. Like Pat from SNL.

You are making the mistake of assuming that dude = male. Dude is a state of mind. Like Globule's mom.

Yea, but that's not the point. The point is I want this. Really bad this time. The current thoughts are "Should I have listened to Mikey and ran slow ass 9:20s for 2 months?" "Did I train myself to run too slow?" "What if I fall into the slow ass 9:20 pace during the race?" "Did I run too fast?" "Did I run enough?" "Did I run too much?" "Is the taper too long?" "Did the week I was sick with the flu effect me because I missed some runs?" "Is the fact that I didn't do hardly any speedwork or intervals going to effect me??" "Am I running too much during the taper?" "Am I going to qualify?" "Yes i'm going to qualify, if I ran a 22 miler at 8:15 pace 3 weeks ago I better suck it up and run 26 at 8:20." "Quit being a whiny bitch and just do it you piece of shit. Big grin" It's pretty much that- over and over right now.

How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?

Ditto this. I think they call it a taper because "mindfucker time period" has too many letters. You'll be fine.

Candice. You know what pace you need to run, so hit it spot on from mile one to twenty. Then, see how you feel, and if you've got it in the tank, run as if your life depends on it. Here is the thing....you KNOW that you can run that pace for a long time. We did it on that Striders 16-miler and we also did it on SuperBowl Sunday for 20 miles, didn't we? Well, maybe not the 20-miler. I don't remember. I was probably being a "whiney" bitch and complaining about a sore limb or something. The day before Louisville, I was nervous because I had never run 7:15 min/miles (my BQ pace) for as many miles as you've run your BQ pace in training. Anyhow, if you don't qualify for Boston, you can place the blame solely on the fact that you use fruit as a topping for your pancakes, unlike most normal people who prefer syrup. You've GOT this. Third time is a charm. It took me ten. Wink

Good point, Trent. I'm done . I've said my piece. Support has been offered. Well wishes extended. I've got better things to do, such as finishing my picnic table assembly. Trent, I'll be texting you from the road on Sunday to find out how it went, since you hear all of the hot news before it hits the Trenternet. MTA: DAMN!
