Any of you in WA?  Apparently I'll be up/over there in February for work and would like to stick around and do a marathon/ultra that weekend.  I could use a local to drink beer with.

I don't know if I will be around or not.  Or if I will be upright or not.

I CAN, however, tell you about local races.  Which one(s) are you looking at?

And once again Mr. Wizard (aka: Stevie Ray) explains the internet.

I used to live there, but I am now on the other coast. Enjoy your trip.

Good times never seemed so good.

…and far more importantly, what are your beer preferences?

The good Mr. Lopez is Rain Man for races, as is my other half, but I can probably point you in the direction of anything from a stout to a sour.

You looking for flat or not flat?  (course, not beer)

            There's flat in WA??

We could move the date of Dizzy Daze up a month…

                Dizzy and Skagit.

Looking at Skagit cause it's when I"ll be there.

                  I like all beer...but especially IPA's.

It is the flattest course I have run in the nation.  It can be windy.  It can be hot.  It isn't always.  One year it was cool and crappy.

Because of the course layout, you can wind up with a tailwind or headwind for long chunks (this year, it was a headwind I think).

The RD is a friend of mine and Weegee's and Shegee's.

It is, perhaps, one of the more boring courses... definitely in our part of the world.  But it IS flat.

Ignore all that, you are talking about Woolley, not what we refer to as "Skagit"... put on by the same dude.  Different race.  Still flat.  Not road, rails-to-trails.  You will see buffalo probably near the turnaround.

And once again Mr. Wizard (aka: Stevie Ray) explains the internet.

Cool...I don't care about the course.  Just figured I'd bang out a state while I was there.  Glad there's a race that weekend.  Now I just need to find someone to split my hotel room and car rental costs.  Wrigley?

How fortunate.  Washington is one of the top hop-producing states around.

And Wooley is a fun run.  Flat, fast trail, limited but enthusiastic support, and an IPA for you at the turnaround if EDRW and I are in change of that aid station again.

Oh, and the medal is a classy one – 'specially the back.

                          Nice!

                          Thunder smash!

May need to get up to Woolley, if only to meet The Thunder Classic

and of course to see EDRW and Weegee.

RD is a chill dude, top ten finish at Badwater this year.

Passing Dean Karnazes in the final stretch.
