Pretty funny the different perspectives on the same run. Pretty much a fail on my first stage booster assignment, we cleared the first mile in about 5:50. Worked hard to catch Bash just beyond 2.2, through frozen lips I managed to yell at him. If the course was true, he had it.
So fail, but 28 / 5525 overall, 2nd 40-49. Drank free beers at On The Hill Tavern until 4:45:00 after the gun, so total victory there.

Personally, I'd have a hard time not heading to Red Bones after the beers...
Did an angel whisper in your ear and hold you close and take away your fear...In those long last moments
Redbones had been a participant in previous years, then was on, then off for this year. A friend of Bash took a trip to Redbones and the final word at the storefront was off, so I had a very tasty bacon cheeseburger at Tavern On The Hill with a ridiculous basket of fries. A very nice consolation prize.
And I have to mention that the second place finisher (16:40) came up to me before the race and wished me good luck. Uh, thanks. Who the hell are you? Dan Vasallo was undercover in full Santa Claus costume including beard and sunglasses. Classic.

Ilene with the gold medal woohoo - congratulations
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
You are on fiyah. Way to work, keep it rollin'.
You aren't kidding. A bunch of Ileneforward's listed PR's are all this year with a couple of her best within the last couple of months. She's having a really good year.
Well , I thought with only six racers this week, this would be easy. But with two PR's (Troy and Bash) and a 1st and 2nd AG wins ( Ilene and Dawgie) , it's not.
Honorable mentions should go out to each and every racer this week .Has anyone checked the mountain for CharlieT?
The A+ for Effort award , (for nearly 13 hours of over the mountains and through the woods) goes out to the one ,the only , Monkey Marathon Man himself , ................drum ....roooollll......
Trent
Well done.
No way I beat out a PR. Or two.
But: thanks I had fun!
CharlieT did make it out of the woods, right behind me. He then had to go to ATL. Not sure he survived that.
I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
Poor baby
Congratulations on your , Troy!
Ok. On tonight's run I realized I got this wrong. I stand corrected. This race stuff is harder than I thought.
Thanks Ilene and nice AG win!
Nice going Troy!!
Really, can you even do that? Can you give out the , take it back, then give it to someone else??
You people.
How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?
