Streak (Read 137 times)

do you think KFC's still open?

If you're gonna streak, it's important to do some hard, high intensity speedwork (you may want to see the other thread) -- so the POlice can't catch you.

"Way to make Borat look overdressed"

I had a 46 day streak that ended yesterday because I didn't get up early to run and ended up working 12.5 hrs instead of the scheduled 9 hrs due to an emergency surgery I had to assist with after hours. If I was awesome I would have ran after being on my feet that long.

I think my longest streak was 110 days. I thought I was gonna break it since the plan was to not take off until after the marathon. Life gets in the way too often.

How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?

          Streaks are stupid.

Let me rephrase that, running is stupid.

Slow and steady never wins anything.

            Life is stupid.

Sunday night my 4 year old daughter vomited 5 times.  Today my 7 year old son slept the day away on the couch with a fever and stomach ache.  This morning I felt alright, however it snowed 4 inches last night.  I thought I'd be smart and wait until the roads cleared this evening to run.  And now that I finally have time... the body aches, sour stomach, and fever have all set in.  Yesterday was 122.  Today would be 123, tying my PR.  I'd say screw it and go to bed, but I need 16 miles for 300 in February.

I realize that slogging through a wretched 5 miler tonight, and a lovely double tomorrow are completely counter-productive.  But clearly, I hate myself anyway.

                  I'm off to the treadmill.

Even though this is not funny, I laughed, anyway.

Pretty funny, but your rolling total is an impressive 314 for the last 30 days, even without any run you might run today.  Another thing to consider.
